that did not have access to hypnosis. By using a variety of hypnotic techniques, many of the symptoms of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and
pain were reduced or eliminated.
In another controlled study patients who received hypnotherapy before surgical procedures experienced less anxiety, reduced pain, less blood

When someone is confronted by the specter of a cancer diagnosis, the fear of the unknown begins to take over, both for the patient and the family. This
alone can contribute to an enormous level of anxiety and worry on top of the normal stresses of day-to-day life. Many times someone facing the prospect
of aggressive medical treatment protocols will feel a sense of helplessness and a loss of control over his or her own life. Hypnosis is a powerful tool for
creating new, more effective coping mechanisms to manage these stresses with a sense of control while in the healing process. Regaining that all
-important sense of control and reducing the associated stress and anxiety of coping with cancer allows the perspective of hopelessness to become one of
hopefulness.
There is a disease that is not as discussed...hair loss from cancer. This disease seems to have no origin or specific
systems as cancer and is called Alopecia Areate. It is an immune system disorder that causes dramatic hair loss.
Over 30 million women have some kind of baldness, and they often lose sight of who they are when they lose their
hair. According to the National Alopecia Areate Foundation, 4.5 million men, women and children in the United States suffer from the disorder.
Following the adage of “if you look good, you feel good” one’s emotional state of being is critical to one’s recovery.
With a cancer diagnosis and an anticipation of hair loss this can diminish ones confidence and self esteem. With
hypnosis and a practical hair replacement and method I developed, ones confidence can be maintained regarding
their external appearance. So by REFRAMING your visual image you can then RECLAIM a positive state of mind which
will in turn give you some control in receiving positive results from your treatment.
